About ASQN 1st SFOD
Unit History
ASQN 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment is an Arma 3 milsim unit modeled after real-world US Army Special Forces. Our unit operates as a squadron-level element, conducting a wide range of special operations missions in the Arma 3 environment.
Founded by veterans of the Arma milsim community, 1st SFOD was established to provide a structured, realistic military simulation experience. We draw inspiration from the operational methodologies and organizational structure of US Army Special Forces (Delta Force / 1st SFOD-D) while adapting them for the Arma 3 platform.
Our members can expect a disciplined but welcoming environment where teamwork, tactical proficiency, and camaraderie are the pillars of our community.
Our Mission
We conduct realistic special operations in the Arma 3 environment with an emphasis on teamwork, discipline, and authentic military procedures. Our operations span direct action, special reconnaissance, unconventional warfare, and counter-terrorism missions.
Every member undergoes structured training to ensure unit cohesion and tactical readiness. We maintain high standards while remaining accessible to those willing to learn and contribute.
Unit Structure
ASQN 1st SFOD is organized as Squadron A, comprising three operational troops:
Assault Troop 1
Primary direct action element. Specializes in raids, ambushes, and close-quarters combat operations.
Assault Troop 2
Secondary assault element. Provides flanking support, vehicle operations, and reinforcement capabilities.
Recce/Sniper Troop
Reconnaissance and sniper element. Conducts surveillance, target acquisition, and precision engagement.
